Gatherings

As a Family, we gather together regularly and often as Missional Communities, Expressions, and as a city church.

Throughout history God's people have gathered together to encourage one another and celebrate his extravagant grace and blessing in their lives. Soma gathers together and continues this biblical tradition of worship. 

We gather as Missional Communities

The church in a neighborhood

The primary kind of group in Soma is the Missional Community. Each MC lives life together as a family on Jesus's mission of making disciples, seeing each other often and gathering together in homes at least weekly. Men and women in Missional Communities will also meet in DNA groups.

We gather as Expressions

The church in a part of town

Several Missional Communities working together to uniquely express the gospel in their area is what we call an Expression and it's led by the MC leaders and local elders. These Expressions gather together at different times and in different ways for equipping, worship, training and to jointly serve their area.

We gather as Soma Tacoma

On Sunday evenings, we all come together to share stories, celebration, music, and teaching. We consider all of this to be acts of worship to a God who deserves it!

We gather at 6pm every Sunday at Destiny City Church (3102 S 23rd St, Tacoma, WA 98405).
